Amsterdam Beach State Park

Amsterdam Beach State Park is a 122-acre (0.49 km2) New York State Park on the Atlantic Ocean in East Hampton (town), New York just east of Montauk, New York.

The park was formally acquired in 2005 and is between Shadmoor State Park and the Andy Warhol Preserve owned by the Nature Conservancy. Its acquisition cost was $16.5 million with East Hampton Town and Suffolk County also contributing.[1]

The park is totally undeveloped and there are no plans to develop it. It includes 1,288 feet (393 m) of ocean frontage, several ponds and 54 acres (220,000 m2) of tidal and freshwater wetlands. The area was earlier referred to locally as the "Montauk Moorlands."
